Rule Highlight
Two more games until Finals time and there are some relevant rules to consider right now, in order to avoid unpleasant surprises during Finals.

Firstly, you must have a fully registered, established, team in the finals as noted in Section 3.4: “A player must be registered and have played with a team at least 3 games before he/she is allowed to play for that team in the Finals, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Board.”. Note, that the 3 games do not have to be consecutive.

This also means that if there have been any player changes in your team, as per Section 3.3 amd 3.3.1, you should provide an updated team sheet to Kyle prior to the Finals.

Lastly, Section 6.7: “During the Finals period of a season, teams may not use fill-ins from other teams or non-registered players and may not field additional male players from the same team should there be less than 3 females available.“. Although not specifically mentioned, this rule can similarly to 3.4, be impacted by “prior arangements” with the Board. Note that “prior” means prior to game night, not 1 minute before the game.

A further provision exists for absence & replacement due to, certified, medical reasons as outlined under 6.7.1.

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
