Frank & Beans 29 def by Pink Pirates 53
Tim 13, Lisa 18

Ducks 20 def Sea Snakes 0 (forfeit)

Plankton 53 def Swordfish 22

Sharks 49 def by Brothers 54

Nuts 20 def Nullabor 0 (forfeit)

As most will have picked up via email or last night, both Nullabor and Sea Snakes have pulled out of the competition due to insufficient player numbers. Both teams are aiming to return next season, but this season was just not viable due to regular forfeits, etc. Some of their players have decided to sit out the season and those playing on have been, or will be, slotted into other teams for at least this season.
As a result, a few things will be adjusted:

  • Both Nullabor and Sea Snakes have been removed from the ladder.
  • The results from previous rounds will remain as they are, including round 5.
  • Players from Snakes & Nullabor that have moved to other teams will be transferred to those team lists on the Stats and any top scoring and Best & Fairest points they may have accumulated will be retained.
  • Thursday game nights will now have two 7:45pm and two 8:15 games with no byes.
  • The roster for next week only is being created during the weekend and will be emailed by John.
  • The updated roster for the remainder of the season will be published on the website on Wednesday 7 Sep at the latest.

We would appreciate the assistance of those transferring players in letting us (especially Kyle) know for which team you’ll be playing for the remainder of the season. Failure to do so may result in loss of personal stats.

Thanks & have a great weekend

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
