Once again, a quick note on Duty responsibilities (which tonight were performed excellently, but have been lacking in previous weeks from time to time). Captains, please inform your team:

  • When you are scheduled for Duty at 7:45pm, your team brings out all equipment (as soon as pools are available, no later than 7:35pm) and positions it as it has been throughout this season, sets up all 4 goals and puts in the outside rope lines in both pools. If you don’t know where to put something, please ask others, or a board member.
  • When you are scheduled for Duty at 8:30pm, your team tidies up all equipment into the far end under the stands (again, ask a board member if you don’t know where) and returns all goals to their dive pool wall positions.

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
