The ladder has been updated under Statistics. Top scoring and Best & Fairest statistics are not recorded for the Social Competition. The team compositions (as they currently exist) have also been made available on the ladder page.

Thank you all for an enjoyable first game night, especially those helping with umpiring, duty and set up/clean up of equipment. It was good to see many new players having a go and doing very well in their first few games.

As you will have noticed, this year’s competition runs with 5 teams, where all teams play twice on the night. Games are two halves of 10 minutes and, while the player numbers minimum and male/female compositions have been relaxed for the SC as usual, all other rules (such as maximum 2 in the 2 meter areas) remain in effect.

The roster will be available on the whiteboard at the start of each game night. Since the first two time slots require all teams to be present, all players should be poolside no later than 7:30pm to check out the roster, help set up and get ready for a 7:45pm start.

Have a great weekend!

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
