2013 S2 Roster

The roster for the second regular season of 2013 has been published on the roster page, with Round 1 starting this week on the 1st of August. Umpires have only been assigned for the first 3 rounds, to allow for any last minute changes in commitment, and will be extended to all rounds in the next 3 weeks.

Team registration sheets have been received from half the teams, so the remaining captains should send them in before Round 1. As noted previously, if a player is not printed on the score sheet (which would have required for an updated team sheet to be submitted to Kath at least a day before game night), the player is considered to be a fill-in. As per regulations, people playing as fill-ins are not eligible for top scoring and B&F stats. From round 4 onwards, this also means you must have a minimum of 4 registered (and as such printed on the sheet) players ready to play on the night or forfeit the game. So please ensure you’ve got things organised.

Requirements for additional players should be directed to me (Dave van ‘t Veld) through the team captains, so we can work together to try and keep each team balanced and able to play all games.

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
