The ladder and top scoring rankings have also been updated under Statistics.

As mentioned previously, anyone not not printed on the score sheet on game night (which would have required for an updated team sheet to be submitted to Kath or Dave at least a day before game night) is considered to be a fill-in. As per regulations, people playing as fill-ins are not eligible for top scoring and B&F stats at any time during the season.

As in previous seasons, fill-in scores count towards the team total during the first 3 rounds of every regular season (see 6.4 of the regulations), which will give teams the opportunity to settle into their final form. In addition, during the first 3 games of the season, there is no minimum of 4 own (as in, not registered with other teams) requirement and the minimum of 4 players can be met through use of fill-ins from other teams.

Fill-in scores are, during the entire season, noted in the score sheet’s Fill-In section for the team.

Round 4 onwards fill-in scores may still be noted in the Fill-In section, but then no longer count towards the total team score. During the remainder of the season (after the first 3 games) the 4 own players rule (see 3.5.4) applies.

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
