2014 1st Come & Try Night

A quick post to remind you all that the first Come & Try night is tomorrow (30/1), commencing at 7:30pm in the Dive Pool. Free entry and free usage of fins, caps and equipment. The second and last Come & Try night is next week (6/2), after which we’ll start with 2014’s first Regular Season on 13/2.

The number of teams for the first season is still in flux, so the roster is likely to be published by end of next week. Existing players should simply all count on playing 13/2. Existing Umpires should let John or Dave know that they’re continuing, while players that would like to start umpiring should get in touch as well, to see if that can be accommodated. Please do so asap.

New players that aren’t already talking to a captain, should get in touch asap, so we can set you up with a team that needs players. To do so, attend a Come & Try night or send us an enquiry email.

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
