2014 2nd Come & Try Night

A final reminder for the second and last Come & Try night tomorrow (6/2), commencing at 7:30pm in the Dive Pool. Free entry and free usage of fins, caps and equipment.

Next week we’ll start with 2014′s first Regular Season on 13/2. The number of teams for the first season will be 8. Swordfish has been disbanded and a new team, Clownfish, has been established. This means we’ll retain our 8 team approach, including the same timeslots and number of rounds as last year.

The roster will be published by end of this weekend at the latest. We are currently counting on the following players to umpire. Please let us know ASAP if this is incorrect: Brett Ring, Craig Banks-Smith, Dave van ‘t Veld, Jo Burke, John Morrisby, Kathryn Fry, Kyle Spooner, Nick Moles, Peter Gardiner, Phillip Wells, Tim Clark, Tony Edmondson, Troy Morrisby.

New players who aren’t already talking to a captain, should get in touch asap, so we can set you up with a team that needs players. To do so, attend a Come & Try night or send us an enquiry email.

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
