Rule Highlight of the Week

Jewellery and other articles likely to cause injury (e.g. watches, rings, bracelets etc.) should be removed prior to the game. The referee will assess and have the final say on any particular scenario. If considered a danger, the item must either be removed or thoroughly covered with waterproof/resistant tape. If that is refused or not possible, the player will be excluded from the game. Refusal to do is dealt with under S.16 Gross Misconduct/Dangerous Play.

Those are the rules, but I’m happy to add that players are usually proactive about this and where not, happy to oblige! 🙂

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
