The Roster has been updated for the Semi Finals and at the bottom of that page you will also find the new planning for the 2017-18 financial year.

Check the Regulations for the Fill-in and Team member requirements during the finals.

The email with details regarding the Winter Water Basketball Dinner has been sent to the captains. They should have forwarded the details to their players for RSVP, so if you haven’t received anything yet then get in touch with your captain asap.

There will be some awards thrown in for the current season, but we’d like this to be event for all teams to participate in. Please help us make this event a success by getting as many of your team mates to come along as possible. Partners are invited as well.

  • The Dinner will be at 7:00pm on the 1st of July at the Ball & Chain’s upstairs function room.
  • The cost is $35 per head and the menu is a choice (decide/order on the night) of:
    • Chargrilled smoked half chicken – hot smoked and finished on the chargrill and served with a black cherry chutney.
    • Lamb shank – A chunky shank served on potato mash enhanced with a tasty rosemary and red wine sauce.
    • Tasmanian Atlantic salmon – Chargrilled with hollandaise sauce.
    • Porterhouse – It has a fine texture and its taste is boosted by the open grill.
    • We didn’t confirm a vegetarian option but this is simply all you want from the salad bar for about $15. If anyone wants this option then we suggest they just confirm their attendance and then pay on the night to keep it simple.
  • Drinks can be purchased separately at the upstairs bar.

RSVP to your captain by Friday 16 June at the latest. We’ll need payments by Friday 23 June, again via your captain (like the membership fees are paid).

About Water Basketball Tasmania
Water Basketball is a sport developed by The Hobart Aquatic Centre. It involves two teams of 6 players, who pass the ball down the pool to their goal end, which is a hoop similar to basketball. Each player wears flippers (and a cap to identify which team they are playing for). Goals are scored as two or three points depending how far from the goals you are.
